Common use of Government Assistance Clause in Contracts

Government Assistance. 9.1 Upon application in the prescribed manner, and subject to compliance with applicable laws and relevant procedures, the Government or its nominee will: (a) use their good offices to provide the right of ingress and egress from the Contract Area and any facilities used in Petroleum Operations, wherever located, and which may be within their control; (b) use their good offices, when necessary, to assist the Contractor in procurement or commissioning of facilities required for execution of Work Programmes including necessary approvals, permits, consents, authorisations, visas, work permits, Licenses including Licenses and Leases, rights of way, easement, surface rights and security protection at the Contractor’s cost, required pursuant to this Contract and which may be available from resources within its control; and (c) in the event that onshore facilities are required outside the Contract Area for Petroleum Operations including, but not limited to, storage, loading and processing facilities, pipelines and offices, use their good offices in assisting the Contractor to obtain from the authorities of the state in which such facilities are required, such licenses, permits, authorizations, consents, security protection at the Contractor’s cost, surface rights and easements as are required for the construction and operation of the said facilities by the Contractor.

Government Assistance. 9.1 Upon application in the prescribed manner, and subject to compliance with applicable laws and relevant proceduresprocedures and subject to payment of any applicable costs and expenses by the Contractor, the Government or its nominee will: (a) use their good offices its best endeavours to provide the right of ingress and egress from the Contract Area and any facilities used in Petroleum CBM Operations, wherever located, and which may be within their control; (b) use their its good offices, when necessary, to assist the Contractor in procurement or commissioning of facilities required for execution of Work Programmes work programmes including necessary approvals, permits, consents, leases, authorisations, visas, work permits, Licenses including Licenses and Leaseslicences, rights of way, easement, surface rights and security protection at the Contractor’s cost, as may be required pursuant to this Contract and which may be available from resources within the Government’s control as well as use its controlgood offices to secure necessary approvals for activities and/or decisions which may be under control of the State Government; and (c) in the event that onshore facilities are required outside the Contract Area for Petroleum CBM Operations including, but not limited to, storage, loading and processing facilities, pipelines and offices, use their its good offices in assisting the Contractor to obtain from the authorities of the state State in which such facilities are required, such licenseslicences, permits, authorizationsauthorisations, consents, security protection protection, at the Contractor’s cost, surface rights and easements as are required for the construction and operation of the said facilities by the Contractor.
