Common use of GOVERNMENT DISABILITY PLANS Clause in Contracts

GOVERNMENT DISABILITY PLANS. The amount of disability benefit under this plan will be reduced by the amount for which an employee the employee's dependent up to the age of eighteen is eligible under the disability benefit provision of the Canada or Quebec Pension Plan or similar provisions in any other plans for disability, for which the employee is receiving an amount of disability benefit under this plan, except for War Disability Pensions and Workers' Compensation Disability Pensions. The Company insurer may require certification or verification of the amount of income from the Canada or Quebec Pension Plan or such other Government Plans. The amount of disability benefit in excess of the amount which should have been paid may be deducted from the amount of any future disability benefit, or repaid by the employee to the Company and/or insurer, as the case may be, through some other mutually satisfactory arrangement.
