Gradual Return to Work. During the disability period, the board and a regular employee who has a full-time position, and who is absent for at least twelve (12) weeks, may agree to a return to work on a gradual basis. The period of disability already begun shall then continue without extending the maximum period of one hundred and four (104) weeks of benefits. In this case:
