GUARANTEED WORKWEEK. If an employee is called to and reports for work on the first (1st) day and the scheduled days thereafter of his regular scheduled workweek, he shall be guaranteed forty (40) hours' pay which includes eight (8) hours' holiday pay if it falls in his regular scheduled workweek. If a laid-off employee is recalled to work on any other day except the first (1st) day of his regular workweek, he shall only receive his daily guarantee. These guarantees shall not apply in case of strikes, work stoppages or Acts of God.
GUARANTEED WORKWEEK. Regular Employees shall be guaranteed payment for ------------------- and expected to work eight (8) hours each day, thirty-two (32) hours for each week, subject to the addition of all premium and overtime provisions, unless such work ceases to be available by reason of an act of God or other reason beyond the control of the Employer. All hours worked in the work week shall be used in computing the minimum guarantee. Employees who work the minimum guarantee of thirty-two (32) hours per week, four (4) eight (8) hour days, may be required to work additional shifts of not less than four (4) hours, upon a twelve (12) hour notice by their Supervisor.
GUARANTEED WORKWEEK. Regular employees capable of performing the work shall be provided with forty (40) hours’ work each week, to be performed in five (5) eight (8) hour days and in a week in which any of the holidays set forth in Section 8 occur, they shall be provided with thirty-two (32) hours’ work. Regular over-the-road truck drivers capable of performing the work shall be provided with forty-six (46) hours’ work each week, and in a week in which any of the holidays set forth in Section 8 occur, they shall be provided with thirty-eight
GUARANTEED WORKWEEK. 1. A full-time employee is one who is scheduled to work thirty-two (32) or more hours per regular workweek and shall be guaranteed the opportunity to work four (4) scheduled eight (8) hour days in each regular workweek in which he is scheduled to work. All part-time employees are guaranteed sixteen (16) hours per regular workweek. 2. For purposes of Paragraph (1), (2) and Section B, paid holiday hours shall be considered to be hours worked.
GUARANTEED WORKWEEK. Regular employees shall be guaranteed payment for and expected to work eight (8) hours each day, forty (40) hours for each week, subject to the addition of all premium and overtime provisions, unless such work ceases to be available by reason of an act of God or other reason beyond the control of the Employer. Employees unable to work eight (8) hours a day, forty (40) hours a week shall provide a reasonable explanation and verification of the reason of absence where appropriate and in compliance with the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Modified Work Week Where Employees in a unit have indicated a desire to work a modified work week, the Employer may authorize experiments with modified work week schedule, providing operational requirements permit and the provision of services are not adversely affected. The averaging period for a modified work week shall not exceed three (3) calendar weeks, and the work day shall not exceed ten (10) hours .

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.
