HEADINGS OR NOTES. The headings or notes in the Contract Documents shall not be deemed to be part thereof or be taken into consideration in their interpretation. LEGAL RELATIONSHIPS The Contractor and the sub-contractor(s), if any, shall have the status of an independent contractor vis-à-vis the Employer. The Contract Documents shall not be construed to create any contractual relationship of any kind between the Engineer and the Contractor, but the Engineer shall, in the exercise of his duties and powers under the Contract, be entitled to performance by the Contractor of its obligations, and to enforcement thereof. Nothing contained in the Contract Documents shall create any contractual relationship between the Employer or the Engineer and any subcontractor(s) of the Contractor.
