Common use of Health and Hospitalization Insurance – Single Coverage Clause in Contracts

Health and Hospitalization Insurance – Single Coverage. The School District shall contribute a sum not to exceed $284.00 per month toward the premium for individual coverage for each full-time employee employed by the School District who qualifies for and is enrolled in single coverage in the School District’s group health and hospitalization insurance plan. Any additional cost of the premium shall be borne by the employee and paid by payroll deduction.

A teacher married to another teacher, both employed by the School District (each currently assigned in excess of .5 FTE) would be eligible for $13,400 toward their elected insurance coverage.

The School District shall contribute a sum not to exceed $284.00 per month 6,375.50 for the 2019-2020 year and $7,015 for the 2020-2021 year toward the premium for individual coverage for each full-time employee principal employed by the School District who qualifies for and is enrolled in single coverage in the School District’s group health and hospitalization insurance plan. Any additional cost of the premium shall be borne by the employee principal and paid by payroll deduction.
