HOLIDAYS, VACATION, LEAVES OF ABSENCE. Section 1. Holidays – Twelve (12) holidays will be observed annually to coincide with the school calendar. Subd. 1 - The following days will be observed as holidays: Subd. 2 - When a holiday occurs on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed. When a holiday occurs on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed. When a holiday occurs on a day when school is in session, then an alternate holiday will be designated by the School District. Subd. 3 - Part-time employees are eligible for holidays. Holiday pay for part-time employees will be paid to parallel the number of hours normally worked in a day.
