Identical Commission Dates. When two (2) or more sergeants have the same seniority dates, the most senior shall be determined by the total length of uninterrupted employment as a sworn officer within the Division of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Should a tie still exist, seniority shall be based on the Civil Service examination taken by the employees. The employee having the highest examination score shall be considered the most senior. If the examination scores are identical or the examination scores are unavailable, then a flip of the coin shall determine which employee is the most senior.
