Common use of Incarceration Clause in Contracts

Incarceration. (C) Any employee who is convicted under the Highway Traffic Act (including unpaid traffic fines) or Criminal Code for driving offences and is subsequently incarcerated, upon written request, may be granted a leave of absence for the period of incarceration. A request for such leave must be submitted to the Company no later than five (5) days following the commencement of the employee’s sentence. Such request shall not be unreasonably denied.
