Common use of INCREASED OR DECREASED QUANTITIES OF WORK Clause in Contracts

INCREASED OR DECREASED QUANTITIES OF WORK. The OWNER reserves the right and may from time to time, by written order, and without notice to any surety, make changes in the quantity or time of performance of the Work, as may be considered necessary or desirable and such changes shall not be considered as waiving or invalidating any conditions or provisions of the Contract or bonds. The CONTRACTOR shall perform all the Contract Work in strict compliance with the Contract Documents, and shall not make any changes to the Work without prior written authorization from the OWNER, in the form of a written Change Order. If such changes increase or decrease either the cost or the time necessary for the performance of the Work, then the parties will mutually agree upon an equitable adjustment to the price or time to perform the Work pursuant to the terms of the Contract.
