Common use of Indemnification from Liability Clause in Contracts

Indemnification from Liability. The Union shall indemnify and save the Employer harmless from any and all claims, demands, suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Employer in making the deductions provided for in Article 4. It is the responsibility of the employee to maintain active membership as outlined in the International Constitution and the Local Union Policy.
