Common use of Industrial Waste Treatment Clause in Contracts

Industrial Waste Treatment. Facility planning shall consider current and proposed commercial and significant industrial users requiring treatment service. Assessment of the existing industries’ and the City’s philosophy, policies and plans for development and growth is required to assure adequate treatment capacity is provided to balance economic development with protection of water quality. Quantity and strength of industrial wastes will determine if a new or expanding industry’s waste load can be treated within the available capacity of the City’s system. Pretreatment of wastes will be required to meet pretreatment program effluent limitations and/or reduce wastewater loadings.
