Common use of Infectious Disease Clause in Contracts

Infectious Disease. (a) An Employee who contracts an infectious disease in the course of their employment with the Employer and who is entitled to receive workers compensation will have any difference between workers compensation and the Employee’s ordinary salary made up by the Employer for up to three months. (b) An Employee who contracts an infectious disease in the course of their employment with the Employer, who is not is not entitled to receive workers compensation and is certified by a Medical Practitioner approved by the Employer as having an infectious disease, will be paid their full pay during the necessary period off duty for up to three months. (c) Pay granted under this subclause 62.9 will not be deducted from the Employee’s personal leave accrual.

(c) Pay granted under this subclause 62.9 sub-clause 76.9 will not be deducted from the Employee’s personal leave accrual.
