Quarantine Pay. 1. In the event an employee is exposed to a communicable disease while on the job, and is not permitted to work by the Infection Control Practitioner or designee, the employee shall be paid at full salary, including shift differential, throughout the quarantine. a) Quarantine pay will be reduced by the amount of worker’s compensation benefits received. 2. In the event an employee is exposed to a communicable disease not related to employment, and is not permitted to work by the Infection Control Practitioner or designee, the employee shall be paid at full salary throughout the quarantine. a) Quarantine pay will end upon the employee returning to work or contracting the illness, at which time payment is made upon time worked or in accordance with the PTO/ EST provisions respectively. 3. Quarantine pay shall represent the employee’s base rate and shift differential, based on regularly scheduled shift. 4. Time paid on quarantine shall be not considered time worked for payment of overtime. 5. Quarantine pay is to be charged for the incubation period of the disease to which the employee was exposed, and not the period of the illness itself. 6. Employees may be required to be examined by Occupational Health prior to return to duty.

Quarantine Pay. If ordered by the Medical Officer of Health or management to remain under a home quarantine, employees will continue to receive regular pay for scheduled shifts. Management may request proof of the quarantine order. If deemed necessary and medically appropriate by the Department of Public Health to work under quarantine conditions, employees under quarantine will perform regular work duties at time and a half. Part-time employees ordered to remain under home quarantine will recover lost wages or potential lost wages based on a calculation of their hours averaged over the last twelve months. Persons receiving quarantine pay will remit any payments received from insurance companies or outside agencies, which are over and above the payments received from the quarantine pay, to the Employer.
Quarantine Pay. Any bargaining unit employee not permitted to work because either (1) the employee tested positive for the communicable disease or (2) required by the employer to get a test before working, shall be placed on paid administrative leave status until such time as they are permitted to return to work. While on paid administrative leave, the employer will make the employee whole for any pay or benefits they would have otherwise received if permitted to work, none of which shall be deducted from the employee’s vacation time or sick time. The employee will not lose any benefits, pay or incentives that would have otherwise been earned if they were permitted to work.
Quarantine Pay. It is agreed between the parties that the Human Resources Policy – Quarantine Pay shall remain in effect through the term of this Agreement.
Quarantine Pay. The School Administration will recommend that the Board approve a resolution that would grant additional time off for certain FFCRA qualifying reasons. The following terms will be part of the recommended Board resolution: (a) If an employee would have at least one of the qualifying reasons stated below under the FFCRA to be eligible to take a leave, but the employee has already exhausted his/her FFCRA leave time, then the employee may apply under the Board resolution for leave. (b) The qualifying reasons under the FFCRA are: (a) if the employee is advised by a health care provider to self-quarantine due to COVID, (b) the employee is experiencing COVID symptoms and is seeking a medical diagnosis, or (c) the School Corporation has directed the teacher to self-quarantine due to COVID. (c) The resolution would be in effect for the 20-21 school year or until the pandemic is no longer declared a national health emergency (whichever occurs first). (d) The leave would have to be requested by the teacher and would be subject to approval at the discretion of the Superintendent. Maximum leave per occurrence would be up to 10 days. The teacher must have exhausted all other leave opportunities provided by federal and state law, the master contract and Board policy before applying for this emergency leave. Medical certification may be requested by the Administration.

  • Shortages Claims for shortages in the amount of Products shipped by Patheon will be dealt with by reasonable agreement of the parties.

  • Sabotage Sabotage is of concern to all Parties involved on any work site and may affect safety, and therefore both the physical and mental well being of all persons on site. The Parties to this Agreement will not tolerate sabotage, and will ensure that any person/s responsible for such action is immediately dismissed. It is accepted that the relevant authorities may have to be notified, and provisions of the OH&S Act implemented.

  • Inclement Weather 24.1 This Inclement Weather clause sets out the full rights, obligations and entitlements of the parties and establishes the conditions under which payment for periods of inclement weather shall be made. 24.2 This Inclement Weather clause is to be read and observed in lieu of the provisions of the award and VBIA. 24.3 Definition – inclement weather Inclement weather shall mean the existence of rain or abnormal climatic conditions (whether they be those of hail, snow, cold, high wind, severe dust storm, extreme high temperature or the like or any combination thereof) by virtue of which it is either not reasonable or not safe for employees exposed thereto to continue working whilst the same prevail.

  • STRIKES OR LOCKOUTS 5.01 During the term of this Agreement, or while negotiations for a further agreement are being held the Union will not permit or encourage any strike, slowdown, or any stoppage of work or otherwise restrict or interfere with the Employer's operation through its members. 5.02 During the term of this Agreement, or while negotiations for a further agreement are being held, the Employer will not engage in any lockout of its employees or deliberately restrict or reduce the hours of work.

  • Chemical Substances Supplier warrants that: (i) each chemical substance contained in Products is on the inventory of chemical substances compiled and published by the Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act and (ii) all Material Safety Data Sheets required to be provided by Supplier for Products shall be provided to DXC prior to shipment of the Products and shall be complete and accurate.

  • DISTURBANCES Tenant and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the agreed upon number people, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises. HOLD HARMLESS iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.

  • Adverse Weather Shall be only weather that satisfies all of the following conditions: (1) unusually severe precipitation, sleet, snow, hail, or extreme temperature or air conditions in excess of the norm for the location and time of year it occurred based on the closest weather station data averaged over the past five years, (2) that is unanticipated and would cause unsafe work conditions and/or is unsuitable for scheduled work that should not be performed during inclement weather (i.e., exterior finishes), and (3) at the Project.
