Common use of Information Gathering Clause in Contracts

Information Gathering. In order to better understand the issues that drive the use of fixed-term agreements for teacher aides, the NZEI Te Riu Roa and NZSTA will look at the trends in fixed-term employment use across the schooling network and seek information from schools through a combination of sampling and surveying, and the Ministry, which could include the: • drivers of employers for using fixed-term rather than permanent employment agreements • reasons given to employees offered a fixed-term agreement • duration and frequency of fixed-term agreements both at a school and individual level. By June 2020 the NZEI Te Riu Roa and NZSTA will have agreed an initial date for this work to commence.
