Common use of Initial Step Placement Clause in Contracts

Initial Step Placement. When an employee is regularly appointed into a title covered by this Agreement or moves from one title covered by the Agreement to an appointment in a different title under this Agreement, shall be governed by Civil Service Rules.

Initial Step Placement. When an employee is regularly appointed into a title covered by this Agreement or moves moved from one title covered by the this Agreement to an appointment in a different title under this Agreement, step placement shall be governed by Civil Service Rules. When circumstances require, the district may allow a new employee to be paid up to step five (5) as indicated on the attached wage schedules (Appendix C).
