Common use of Initiation of a Formal Misconduct Investigation Clause in Contracts

Initiation of a Formal Misconduct Investigation. Whether or not to initiate a formal investigation shall be within the sole discretion of the District. The District is not obligated to investigate anonymous accusations. However, it is understood that, where the District does investigate an anonymous complaint, an employee may not be charged based solely on anonymous claims.
