For the 2020-21 and 2021-22 academic years, the method used to compare part-time and full-time compensation for the purpose of determining is to achieving parity shall be as follows: 1. Calculate the average, annualized compensation for instructional adjunct faculty by: a. At each step multiply the instructional rate by 525 hours. (525 hours represents 15 hours per week times 35 weeks). b. At each step multiply the special rate by 175 hours. (175 hours represents 5 office hours [1 hour for each 3 hours of teaching] times 35 weeks). c. Add the results of a and b. This expresses the annualized salary at each step. d. Calculate the average annualized adjunct instructional salary. 2. Calculate the average annual full-time compensation of full-time faculty at Column 2 (Master’s Degree), steps 1-11. 3. Parity is achieved when the average annualized compensation on the instructional adjunct faculty schedule is 85% of the average annual full-time compensation of contract faculty at column 2, steps 1-11. 4. For the purposes of a benchmark, applying this methodology using the salary schedules in effect as of August 13, 2018: a. Instructional adjunct compensation is at 66.8% of full-time compensation. b. Non-instructional adjunct compensation is above parity on all non-instructional salary schedules, where the average annualized non-instructional salary for each position is calculated by multiplying each salary step by the full-time contractual hours for the position by 35 weeks, and taking the average. C. The following steps shall be taken to achieve parity, as defined in paragraph A. 1. For the 2020-2021 fiscal year the following monies shall be applied exclusively to the instructional adjunct salary schedule: a. The District shall add 3 % ($600,537) to the adjunct instructional faculty schedule over and above the dollars made available to AFT for total compensation for 2020-21. This contribution is contingent on the further contribution described below in section C.1.b. b. An additional 1% ($ 200,179) shall be added to the instructional adjunct faculty schedule from the dollars made available to AFT for total compensation in 2020-21, resulting in a combined contribution between sections C.1.a and b of 4 % ( $800,716) being applied to the adjunct instructional schedule. c. At its discretion, AFT may apply additional dollars exclusively to the instructional adjunct faculty schedule. d. ...

  • Part-Time Nurse is a Nurse hired to a position to work on a regular or temporary basis that is less than the work period of a Full-Time Nurse.

  • Part-Time Only A rest period of fifteen (15) minutes will be granted during each half tour provided the duration of each half tour is not less than three (3) hours.

The Employer agrees to review any ASF position that is less than one (1) FTE if the Association can demonstrate that the position has regularly been required to work a work period that substantially exceeds the normal work period as defined above, and adjust the FTE of the respective position as deemed appropriate by the Employer.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • Part-Time Benefits time employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to an employee, paid in whole or in part by the hospitals, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, including holiday pay, save and except salary, vacation pay, standby pay, call-in pay, responsibility pay, jury and witness duty, bereavement leave, and pregnancy and parental supplemental unemployment benefits) an amount equal to 14% of his regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid.   • Part-time Vacation Pay If the Employer currently has the computer systems’ capability to implement bi- weekly vacation pay, they shall do so by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. Those Employers with no computer capability will endeavour to implement bi- weekly vacation pay if there is no significant administrative burden, by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. If the Employer does not so implement, it will provide reasons in writing to the Union. Where possible without extensive programming changes, the amount of vacation pay will be separately identified on the pay stub.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article. (2) Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis shall have all extra hours worked over the regular part-time schedule paid at the hourly rate. Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis who work less than the regular part-time schedule shall have time deducted at the hourly rate.
