INSTALLING THE RS 232 CABLES Sample Clauses

INSTALLING THE RS 232 CABLES. If you are not using a programmable Marker one RS 232 cable is required. If you are using a programmable Marker two RS 232 cables will be required. The default port configuration for WirePro puts the programmable marker on COM1 and the AutoStrip on COM2. WirePro will allow the selection of COM 1 through 6, be sure that the machines are connected o the correct COM port. The required cables are supplied as a part of the marker system when purchased from Xxxxxxx Engineering. A supplied terminator plug must be installed on the Model 77200 "Terminal" port.  The AutoStrip and Marker can be put onto any COM port.  Applications that try to share a COM port or the related IRQ will interfere with the operation of WirePro. It is important to make sure that no other application is trying to access the COM port while WirePro is running.  When using the A200 or A300 inkjet marker the port FLOW CONTROL must be set to HARDWARE or the inkjet will not communicate. For details on setting the flow control see Part 6 “MARKING WIRE USING THE DOMINO A200 AND A300 INKJET MARKERS”.
