Instructional Day. The Instructional Day shall be a maximum of three hundred (300) instructional minutes commencing with the start of opening exercises or the commencement of classes, whichever occurs earlier, and ending with the students’ dismissal from school for the day, exclusive of recess, lunch and/or nutrition breaks.
Instructional Day. The total number of instructional minutes per school year provided by CONTRACTOR shall be equivalent to the number of instructional minutes established for LEA schools unless otherwise specified within the student’s IEP or ISA, provided the ISA meets the minimum standards for instructional minutes as specified in Education Code. The number of instructional minutes shall be exclusive of recess, lunch, and passing time. For Pre-K through grade twelve (12), unless otherwise specified on the student’s IEP or ISA, the number of minimum instructional minutes shall be as follows: one hundred eighty (180) instructional minutes shall be provided to pre & kindergarten students: two hundred thirty (230) instructional minutes shall be provided to students in grades one (1) through three (3): two hundred forty (240) instructional minutes shall be provided to students in grades four (4) through twelve (12).
Instructional Day. The school day shall not be less than the minimum instructional minutes necessary to comply with State required daily/annual instructional minute minimums.
Instructional Day. Without prior approval of the faculty, no faculty can be assigned contact hours to exceed a contiguous period (span) of seven (7) hours, including meal and travel times. The daily assignment span may be increased where it can be satisfactorily demonstrated to the parties to this Agreement that the extension of the limit is beyond the control of the administration. "Satisfactorily demonstrated" shall mean that courses necessary to maintain a full load are not available within the span, and that mutual agreement has not been reached regarding alternate non- instructional assignments or annualization, provided that the quarterly load was determined according to Section 11.3 below. Nothing in this section is to be construed that: (a) the teaching span must be seven (7) hours in length; or (b) faculty are expected to be on campus for this entire span if their professional duties require their presence elsewhere.
Instructional Day. D.21.1. In an elementary school, the teacher's instructional day shall not exceed six (6) consecutive hours inclusive of:
a. instructional time not to exceed five (5) hours inclusive of 15 minutes of recess;
b. a regular lunch intermission.

Instructional Day. The instructional day for the elementary buildings will be six and one-half (6 1/2) hours with a forty (40)-minute duty-free lunch period for teachers. The instructional day for X.X. Xxxx Middle School will be six hours and forty minutes (6 2/3) with a duty-free lunch period of forty-five (45) minutes for teachers. At least the first four (4), but no more than the first seven (7), full student attendance days, as determined by the Board, will be shortened by one (1) hour per day. The hour will be used by the teachers with the building administrators for scheduling, arranging grouping patterns, and record-keeping activities. In addition, building administrators may call meetings with teachers for no more than fifty percent (50%) of the early dismissal time scheduled in accordance with this paragraph. Teachers who travel from one building to another will have thirty minutes travel time built in to their schedule. This thirty minutes will be outside of their scheduled plan and lunch times.
Instructional Day. 24 The hours of employment defined in Sections A.1., A.2., and A.3. above shall include 25 at least the required number of instructional minutes to qualify for incentive funding 26 provided in Education Code, Section 46201. The designation of instructional time 27 shall conform to the law. Subject to the foregoing, the minimum number of 28 instructional minutes shall be: 30 Kindergarten 36,000 31 Grades 1, 2, and 3 50,400 32 Grades 4 and 5 54,000 33 Grades 6, 7, and 8 64,800 34 Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 64,800 35 except that:
37 a. Schools with an organizational pattern of Grades K-8 shall provide a 38 minimum of 54,000 instructional minutes for Grades 7 and 8. 39 40 b. Schools which exceed the above required minimum number of instructional 41 minutes for specified grade levels shall make no adjustment to reduce the 42 number of instructional minutes at these grade levels without the express 43 written consent of the appropriate assistant/deputy superintendent. 44
Instructional Day. Adult Education instructional members shall be in their classrooms promptly at the beginning of the class period and remain until the assigned teaching period is concluded.
Instructional Day. 45 The hours of employment defined in Sections A.1., A.2., and A.3. above shall 46 include at least the required number of instructional minutes to qualify for 1 incentive funding provided in Education Code, Section 46201. The
