Common use of Instructor Rights Clause in Contracts

Instructor Rights. 3 A. Pursuant to Act 336 of the Public Acts of 1947, the College hereby agrees that every Instructor 4 employed by the College shall have the right to freely organize, join, and support the Faculty for the 5 purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiations and other concerted activities for 6 mutual activities and protection. As a duly elected body exercising governmental power under 8 indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any Instructor in the enjoyment of any rights conferred 9 by Act 336 as amended or other laws of Michigan or the Constitutions of Michigan and the United 10 States; that it will not discriminate against any Instructor with respect to hours, wages, or any terms 11 or conditions of employment by reason of his or her membership in the Faculty, his or her 12 participation in any activities of the Faculty or collective professional negotiations with the College, 13 or his or her institution of any grievance, complaint, or proceeding under this Agreement or 14 otherwise with respect to any terms or conditions of employment and citizenship.
