Insulation Test. Unless agreed otherwise with the Engineer, all circuits required to operate at voltages in excess of 70 V shall have a peak test voltage of 2 kV rms. 50 Hz applied for 1 minute, and for all circuits required to operate at voltages of less than 70 V shall have a peak test voltage of 500 V d.c. applied for 1 minute. All structural metal work and metal chassis on one site shall be connected to earth at one point to the approval of the Engineer.
