Common use of INTERNAL UPGRADE Clause in Contracts

INTERNAL UPGRADE. ‌ On occasion, employees with previous continuous experience with the Employer in one job classification may be promoted to a job classification in a higher pay grade which requires a new or different license. In such cases, for purposes of layoff and recall only, employees will be credited with seniority for one-third (1/3) of the time worked in different job classifications. All other internal transfers will be credited with full seniority.
