Severe Weather Sample Clauses
Severe Weather. An employee who is late for a scheduled shift during a severe weather day will be offered the opportunity to work his/her full regular schedule of hours if work is needed, without suffering any pay deductions taken from such employee’s regular scheduled work day providing such employee completes his/her shift. Severe weather days are days when weather hampers mass transit (e.g. buses and ferries) from transporting travelers to their destinations. If weather conditions are such that driving to work would be hazardous, roads are closed, or travel to work would result in extreme hardship, an employee may use his/her PTO time if unable to report for work. EIB is not available for severe weather days. Employees are required to provide notification as soon as practicable if they are going to be late or unable to report for work.
Severe Weather. The County Building and the Courthouse shall remain open. If an employee cannot make it to work the affected employee(s) shall:
A. Be allowed to make up lost time only within two (2) pay periods, without accruing overtime, as defined in this Agreement, or;
B. Be allowed to make up lost time with accumulated personal leave, vacation time, or;
C. Be allowed to accept lost time without pay.
Severe Weather. OWNER AGREES THAT THE MARINA IS NOT OBLIGATED TO MONITOR THE WEATHER OR TO NOTIFY THE OWNER OF THE APPROACH OF ANY INCLEMENT OR SEVERE WEATHER. OWNER AGREES THE MARINA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES CAUSED TO THE VESSEL BY INCLEMENT OR SEVERE WEATHER. OWNER AGREES THE MARINA IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES ARISING FROM POWER OUTAGES.
Severe Weather. Operators shall be notified at the earliest possible time that they are not to drive because of severe weather conditions.
Severe Weather. The Department shall adopt a policy regarding leave for Officers required to provide essential services during severe weather or other emergencies that is in compliance with existing state law.
Severe Weather. It is recognized that, on occasion, severe weather may make it difficult for employees to get to work at their normal starting time. In such cases, the employee is responsible for notifying their supervisor that they will likely be late due to weather conditions or that they will be unable to report for work due to weather conditions. Employees absent due to severe weather or leaving early will be required to select from one of the choices below to cover the missed time. This includes road closures due to weather. Procedure: Employees must advise their supervisor and reconcile time missed due to severe weather by using one of the following options if available:
1. Lieu time
2. Vacation time
3. Incidental time (sick)
4. Any other banked time available. Bank entitlements must be used first, but if none of the above options are available, the time may be taken as an unpaid leave of absence.
Severe Weather. Teachers who are unable to come to work because of severe weather, having used all paid personal leave days, may use sick days with the approval of the Superintendent.
Severe Weather. Use of Personal Days Teachers who are unable to report for work because of severe inclement weather or Act of God shall be entitled to use their personal leave days.
Severe Weather. Drivers shall be notified at the earliest possible time that they are not to drive because of severe weather conditions. A driver shall have the option of whether to drive and shall not be disciplined in any manner should he/she refuse to drive. Should there be any question regarding a driver driving during severe weather conditions, the Superintendent shall make the final decision.
Severe Weather. In the event of impending severe weather, Marina, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to move, attempt to secure or evacuate the vessel at Customer’s sole risk and expense. UNDERTAKING TO MOVE, SECURE OR EVACUATE THE VESSEL SHALL NOT BE DEEMED AN ASSUMPTION OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SAFETY, SECURITY AND CARE OF THE VESSEL BY MARINA, NOR SHALL MARINA BE DEEMED A BAILEE OF THE VESSEL.
