Inventions Report. The Xxxx-Xxxx Act (P.L. 96-517) affords Recipients the right to elect and retain title to inventions they develop with funding under an NRC grant award (“subject inventions”). In accepting an award, the Recipient agrees to comply with applicable NRC policies, the Xxxx-Xxxx Act, and its Government-wide implementing regulations found at Title 37, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 401. A significant part of the regulations require that the Recipient report all subject inventions to the awarding agency (NRC) as well as include an acknowledgement of federal support in any patents.
