Common use of Inventor Compensation Clause in Contracts

Inventor Compensation. Both parties acknowledge and agree that in the event that any employee of Hitachi or employee of OpNext (hereinafter referred to as the “Inventor”) creates any Intellectual Property under this R&D Agreement, the owner of such Intellectual Property shall pay a certain amount of compensation to such Inventor, taking into account the Inventor’s contribution and according to the terms and conditions mutually agreed to by the parties.
