Common use of JANITOR LEADER Clause in Contracts

JANITOR LEADER. A. The parties agree to a program that would designate selected Employees as leadpersons. The leadperson is an Employee who, in addition to his/her normal duties and responsibilities, is specifically assigned by his/her superiors, the responsibility to assign and coordinate the work of two or more Employees and to see that the assignment runs smoothly and efficiently and to answer to his/her superiors for progress or lack of progress and the quality of work being done. He/she shall be paid at a rate of his/her normal hourly rate, plus 7% additional, plus shift premium, if applicable, for the entire shift in which leadpersons shall be as set forth below notwithstanding the provisions of Article 6.
