Joint Health, Safety and Environment Committee. a) The Company and the Union agree to maintain the established Joint Health, Safety and Environment Committee in accordance with the Canada Labour Code Part II, its regulations, codes of practice and guidelines and environmental laws, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines. The Union representation on this Committee shall be at least three (3) members chosen by the Union. At no time shall the number of Company members allowed to outnumber the amount of Union members. b) Two co-chairpersons shall be selected from and by the members of the Committee. Joint Health, Safety and Environment Committee. a) The Company and the Union agree to maintain the established A Joint Health, Safety and Environment Committee in accordance with the Canada Labour Code Part II, its regulations, codes of practice and guidelines and environmental laws, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines. The Union representation on this Committee shall be at least three established which is composed of a minimum of four (34) union members chosen by the Union. At no time shall the union and an equal number of Company members allowed to outnumber the amount of Union company members.
b) . Two co-chairpersons shall be selected from and by the members of the Committeecommittee. One of the co-chairpersons chair shall be a union member chosen selected by the Union members of union the Committee. The other co-chairperson shall be a company member.
c) During all absences of the Union co-chairperson the Company shall recognize an alternate co-chairperson designated by the Union.
d) The Committee shall assist in creating a safe and healthy place to work and one which does not harm the environment, shall recommend actions which will improve the effectiveness of the health, safety and environmental program, and shall promote compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines. The Company will respond to the Committee as outlined in the Canada Labour Code Part II.
e) Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Committee committee shall:
i. : Determine that inspections have been carried out at least once a monthmonth by the co- chairs, accompanied by the appropriate members of the Joint health and Safety Committee. These regular inspections shall be made of all places of employment, including buildings, structures, grounds, vehiclesexcavations, tools, equipment, machinery and work methods and practices. Such inspections shall be made at intervals that will prevent the development of unsafe working conditions or conditions that may harm the environment.
ii. Ensure that accident and incident investigations have been made.

Joint Health, Safety and Environment Committee.
