Common use of Joint Ownership Implementation Clause in Contracts

Joint Ownership Implementation. As regards Joint Serendipitous Inventions and the Program Patents to the extent claiming them, either Party is entitled to practice and license them without consent of and without a duty of accounting to the other Party. Each Party hereby grants all permissions, consents and waivers with respect to, and all licenses under, the Joint Serendipitous Inventions and the Program Patents claiming them as necessary to achieve throughout the world the nature of joint ownership rights of the foregoing as described in Section 5.1 (Ownership and Inventorship) and the foregoing sentence. To avoid doubt, this Section 5.2(b) (Joint Ownership Implementation) does not imply any permission, consent or waiver with respect to, or license under, any Patent or item of Know-How other than the Joint Serendipitous Inventions and the Program Patents to the extent claiming them.
