Jointing Accessories. Stranded aluminum conductors shall be jointed with indentation ferrules or by a welding process. Conductor temperature during welding shall be monitored by means of a thermocouple. The temperature shall not exceed the value stated in the schedule of particulars and guarantees. Compression type ferrules are not approved for stranded aluminum conductors.
