Jurisdiction of Parts. I. The export and import of articles out of and into the United States, including technical data and defense services, may be subject to the jurisdiction of the US Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC); the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS); or the US Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).
