WORK JURISDICTION. Par. 1. It is agreed by the parties to this Agreement that all work specified in Article IV shall be performed exclusively by Elevator Constructor Mechanics, Elevator Constructor Helpers, Elevator Constructor Apprentices and Elevator Constructor Assistant Mechanics in the employ of the Company. (a) The handling and unloading of all equipment coming under the jurisdiction of the Elevator Constructor, from the time such equipment arrives at or near the building site, shall be handled and unloaded by the Elevator Constructors. Mechanical equipment such as a fork lift or truck mounted swing boom may be used by the Elevator Constructors. A xxxxxxx, xxxxx or material hoist can be used under the supervision of Elevator Constructors to handle and unload the heavy material described in Par. 5(a). Where unusual conditions are expected to exist prior to delivery of equipment at or near the building site in regard to handling and unloading of equipment in the primary or secondary jurisdiction of the local union, the Company shall contact the Local's Business Representative to make appropriate arrangements for the handling and unloading of such equipment. In areas outside the jurisdiction of the local union, the Company shall contact the Regional Director. (b) The erecting and assembling of all elevator equipment to wit: electric, hydraulic, steam, belt, dumbwaiters, residence elevators, parking garage elevators (such as Xxxxxx, Pigeon Hole, or similar types of elevators), shuttles, compressed air and handpower, automatic people movers, monorails, airport shuttles and like-named devices used in the transportation of people for short distances of travel (less than 5 miles), as well as vertical reciprocating conveyor systems. (c) It is understood and agreed that the preassembly of all escalators, moving stairways and link belt carriers that may be done in the factory shall include the following: 1. Truss or truss sections with tracks, drive units, machines, handrail drive sheaves, drive chains, skirts on the incline sections but not curved sections, step chains and steps installed and permanently aligned. 2. Balustrade brackets may be shipped attached but not aligned. 3. Setting of all controllers and all wiring and conduit from the controller. All other work on escalators, moving stairways and link belt carriers shall be performed in the field by Elevator Constructor Mechanics, Helpers, Apprentices and Assistant Mechanics either before or after the truss or truss sectio...
WORK JURISDICTIONThe Parties agree to the following as it pertains to Article 2
WORK JURISDICTION. 35.01 All work performed under this Agreement in connection with field fabrication, handling, racking, sorting, cutting, bending, hoisting, placing, burning, welding, and tying of reinforcing steel and wire mesh used to reinforce concrete construction, including handling and installation of all post-tensioning materials, including stressing and grouting thereof, loading and unloading by hand and carrying to designated points adjacent to or upon the site of the project on which such materials are to be used. To facilitate the employer, where reinforcing ironworkers employed by the employer are not on the site, unloading by hand and carrying may be performed by others.
WORK JURISDICTIONThe Employer is free to carry out technical tests of the CATV system to either meet the requirement of their operating license as issued by the CRTC or to determine that the system satisfies the technical standards of the Employer. A bargaining unit Technician will be assigned to assist in the testing.
WORK JURISDICTIONThe employer recognizes the craft jurisdiction of the Union and agrees to assign all work of the acoustical and drywall trade to xxx Xxxxxxxxxx Union Local 83.
WORK JURISDICTION. 2.01 The Employer recognizes the Union work jurisdiction shall include that work which has been historically or traditionally or contractually assigned to members of the Labourers' International Union of North America in the tending of Masons including unloading, mixing, handling and conveying of all materials used by Masons, including refractory by any mode or method; all work involved in the tear out of refractory materials up to the point of any required toothing; including the use of skid steer loaders and remote controlled Brokk type equipment; the unloading, erecting, dismantling, moving and adjustment of all types of scaffolding; all work in connection with the fabrication and installation of weather protection including final fastening; and the construction and dismantling of grout and castable formwork; the starting, stopping, fuelling, oiling, cleaning, operating and maintenance of all mixers, compressors, mortar pumps, concrete and grout pumps, fork lifts, man and/or material lifts including, but not limited to scissor lifts, zoom boom, telescopic or otherwise, platforms, tuggers and other devices under the direction of the Employer or his representative and application of waterproofing.
WORK JURISDICTION. The scope of work covered by this Agreement includes the following, but is not limited to: A. All washing down, cleaning, caulking, pointing and weatherproofing of brick, stone or marble work shall be performed by Pointer, Cleaner, Caulkers; including caulking and cleaning of all types of masonry (including precast masonry and concrete panels) and caulking of all window frames encased in brick, stone, concrete or other masonry. B. All grinding and cutting out of brick, stone, marble, or other masonry joints and replacing of joints only. Replacing, pointing, patching, dutchman patching of brick, stone, terracotta, and all masonry materials. C. Installation of all types of sealants including but not limited to: epoxies, silicones, and urethanes. Application of all clear weatherproofing and waterproofing materials used in pointing, cleaning, caulking, weatherproofing, waterproofing and expansion joints on all types of construction and shall cover the following but not limited to: Concrete, Brick, Concrete Block, Marble, Stone, Tile, Precast Concrete, Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete, Exterior Insulated Finish System, Plaster, Metal Windows, Storefronts, Curtain Wall, Glass Blocks, Hollow Metal, Fire Caulking, rainscreen walls and Caulking of Cementicous Panels. D. This Agreement shall cover all epoxy injection, epoxy grouting, epoxy coatings, and epoxy sealants. All above grade weatherproofing and waterproofing, deck coatings and below grade damproofing. E. The assembly and hanging of all types of hanging platforms, baskets, boatswains chairs etc., including: setting up guard rails, electric motors, wire rope cable, rope falls, electric cables and other miscellaneous swing staging equipment. Installation of C-hooks, out riggers, beams, counter weights, parapet clamps and the like. All rigging and safety tie backs, installation of lifelines and other fall arrest procedures and equipment. All moving and relocation of power suspended platform equipment. The operation of man-lifts, hydraulic scaffolding and aerial lifts. This agreement shall cover all products or new systems relating to the aforementioned hanging or aerial equipment. F. The chemical cleaning, water blasting, steam cleaning, other types of power washing and hand cleaning. Dry cleaning, sand blasting, power cleaning with limestone dust and crushed glass, etc. Installation and operation of all systems that collect any material after use. WORK JURISDICTION. Duties normally performed by employees within the bargaining unit will not be assigned to or be performed by non-bargaining unit personnel except in emergencies when bargaining unit employees capable of performing the work are not available. In such emergency situations, where the period of assignment is longer than two (2) weeks duration, the Corporation will notify the Union when work traditionally performed exclusively by bargaining unit employees is being performed by exempt employees. It is recognized by the parties under this clause that Corporation operations necessitate the utilization of non-bargaining unit personnel and they may continue to be used to the same extent they are now used. The Corporation will not transfer to non-bargaining unit employees those functions (which do not qualify for exemption under the Labour Relations Code) which have been performed exclusively by bargaining unit employees. Nothing in this Article shall be construed as a contractual definition of “employee” which is different from the definition of “employee” in the Labour Relations Code.
WORK JURISDICTIONThe work jurisdiction covered by this Agreement shall include that work which has historically, traditionally, or contractually been assigned to members of the Union. It is the responsibility of the Employer to inform show management and exhibitors of the following work jurisdiction and, upon request, provide the Union a copy of the jurisdiction from the show kit for each show. This Agreement covers all employees performing carpentry work covered by this Agreement, including, but not limited to: (a) The uncrating, erection, dismantling and recrating of all built-up fabricated displays at the exhibit sites. (b) The handling and erection of all hard wall booths, pegboards, sheetrock and/or specially built booths on the exhibit site where any material is attached together to form a display (c) The building and/or installation of all platforms, walls, turntables, counters and/or any items fabricated or built on the exhibit sites. (d) The laying out and marking of all lines needed to perform the above referred work. (e) All forklift work and all freight-handling using powered or mechanized equipment under the control of the Employer from the dock to the point of installation and return. This includes all common carrier freight and exhibits. This is not applicable to freight or exhibits that can be carried by one person, or product that is under exhibitor or client control. The provisions of this Article 6(e) shall not apply to the following events: Costco, Associated (Unified) Grocers, Sysco and Safeway and other shows that may arise from time to time when negotiated under Article 22. (f) The handling and laying of all carpet. (g) All exhibit installation except that which can be accomplished by full time employees of the exhibitor in a booth size no larger than 10’X20’ without use of power tools or ladders. (h) All work in the production graphics department and warehouse, as well as all related transportation and storing. (i) All of the above shall apply for any Trade Show, Industry Product Show, Trade Fair Exposition, Festival, Manufacturer Show, Centennial, State Fair or any other display or advertising show. (j) Cleaning of show carpet within the Employer’s shop or warehouse facility. In the event the Employer establishes an off site carpet depot the parties shall meet expeditiously for purpose of negotiating wages, hours and working conditions appropriate to the type of work to be performed in such carpet depot. WORK JURISDICTION. For the term of the Agreement covering the period of April 1, 1979 through March 31,1982, the Employer agrees that all stores being ser­ viced by the facilities covered by this Agreement as of June 30,1973, shall not be removed to another source of servicing. It is understood that this commitment is subject to historical prevailing practices, including but not limited to the normal closing and opening of stores. This includes stores which may be opened in addition or in replacement of these stores located in the general area now being serviced by the Melrose Park facilities covered by this Agreement as of June 30, 1973.
