Common use of Jury Duty Leave/Witness Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty Leave/Witness Leave. Employees summoned to jury duty or subpoenaed as a witness in court shall be paid wages amounting to the difference between the amount paid them for jury or witness service and the amount they would have earned had they worked on such days. This does not apply if the employee is excused from jury or witness duty for the rest of that day or days and does not report back to work, or if the jury or witness duty occurs on the employee's scheduled day off.
