Jury/Summons Leave. Leave of absence without loss of seniority shall be granted to a Teacher who, by reason of summons to serve as a juror, or a summons to serve as a witness in a court proceeding to which he or she is not a party or one of the persons charged, is absent from duty. The Board shall pay such a Teacher the Teacher’s regular salary provided the Teacher presents proof of service to the Board. The Teacher shall pay to the Board any fee, exclusive of traveling allowances and living expenses that the Teacher receives as a juror or as a witness. Such leave is not deducted from accumulated sick leave.
