New employees are not permitted to undertake any activity that requires patient contact prior to clearance by the Staff Immunisation Nurses; this also includes evidence of having the Flu vaccination on a yearly basisbasis and being fully vaccinated against Covid-19. New employees with contra-indications to vaccinations or who decline vaccination are required to attend a face to face consultation with the Immunisation Nurses for appropriate documentation of their contraindications or declination. This must be completed PRIOR to commencing any work with Northern Health. Desirable Preferred: Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association Current Victorian Driver License • Relevant second language • Experience in both acute and relevant special interest groups • Postgraduate qualification in relevant area of practice (or currently enrolled/studying) Experience and Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Essential • Ability to assess complex patient presentations including those in the Emergency department and facilitate safe discharge including referral to community based programs • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills subacute hospital settings • Proven capacity ability to successfully work as part of a promote and advocate for the Social Work role within the multidisciplinary team • Commitment to ongoing professional development / postgraduate education • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Demonstrated capability in service innovation and development • Understanding of cultural diversity of the community • Experience or interest in the clinical supervision of Grade 1 physiotherapists and physiotherapy students Employee Declaration I have read, understood and accept the above Position Description.
