Common use of Land for Economic Development Clause in Contracts

Land for Economic Development. The Grantee will comply with 24 CFR part 941, subpart F, or successor part for acquisition of land for economic development-related activities. The Grantee may, with HUD approval, use funds provided under this Grant Agreement for acquisition of land and for limited infrastructure and site improvements associated with developing retail, commercial, or office facilities. The Grantee must enter into a restrictive covenant to govern the development and use of land acquired for economic development purposes. The Grantee may not use funds provided under this Grant Agreement to pay hard development costs or to buy equipment for retail, commercial, or office facilities.
