Learning and Development. 8.1 The Ministry is committed to creating a people management environment where the focus is on enhancing capability and supporting our people to build successful and rewarding careers.
8.2 This will enable the Ministry to meet the needs and expectations of stakeholders and continuously improve the quality of the service it provides by ensuring we have the capability and capacity needed to meet the expectations of New Zealanders in delivering first class justice services.
8.3 The Ministry will value and prioritise development – promoting and supporting learning as a constant for everyone. Career and personal development will be a strong focus within the Ministry.
8.4 We will endeavour to ensure that every employee has access to a range of development opportunities that ensure they have the skills needed to perform effectively in their role, and to develop new skills for future roles. People will take responsibility for their own learning and development, and will have the support and tools to enable them to do this.
8.5 The Ministry recognises that our managers and team leaders are critical to our success.
8.6 We will ensure they have the skills necessary to be successful in their roles, and encourage and support them in continually developing their leadership and management skills.
8.7 We will work to clearly define management structures and career paths, and focus on ensuring we have the management and leadership capability necessary to lead us into the future.
8.8 We will work in partnership with our managers and team leaders to identify development opportunities that contribute to their success as a leader and supporting their career aspirations.
8.9 To achieve this, the Ministry will develop a comprehensive range of learning and development opportunities for managers and team leaders.
Learning and Development. Where practicable, the Company will provide structured training, development, and assessment for new entrants to the industry to offset skills shortages and ensure career progression opportunities are available, e.g. progression from new entrant to unskilled to semi-skilled to skilled, including developing individuals and teams in support of the Project's Skills employment priorities. The Company will provide skills enhancement for Employee(s) via a range of methods including but not limited to coaching, mentoring, exposure, and competency-based training model. Training will be relevant and delivered in a suitable forum including Toolbox meetings and structured training programs. Where possible, training will result in a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment. This Learning and Development program will provide Employee(s) with industry wide recognised portable skills which will facilitate the development of their career path. In line with the Company's commitment to providing each employee with quality training to assist them in the performance of their functions on the Project, the Company may schedule mandatory training for employees in accordance with this clause. Employees required to attend training will be paid for the time spent training at the employee's Ordinary Time Hourly Rate (excluding allowances). Such training will be conducted during ordinary hours where possible.

The employer is committed to providing its employees with learning and development opportunities that ensure the required service standards are met and enable employees to attain relevant formal qualifications An employee’s learning and development may occur in a variety of ways, including, for example;
a) On the job training
b) Internal or external training sessions
c) One on one coaching d) Staff meetings e) Conferences
Learning and Development. 6.1 Where appropriate, Local Council members will be offered places on training and development courses provided by the Borough Council. The Borough Council will work with the Area Committee of the Kent Association of Local Councils to identify particular learning and development needs, and consider the best way to meet those needs, in collaboration with the County Association.
6.2 TWBC commits to provide, at least annually (and on appointment of new staff), appropriate training of its officers and officials to ensure they are fully familiar and committed to compliance with the Tunbridge Xxxxx Agreement as it affects their department and work.
Learning and Development. This is a commitment to sharing training opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and expertise that is essential to partnership-working and greater engagement.
Learning and Development. 15.1 As soon as possible there will be a standardisation of job description documents and competency definitions for collaboration posts.
15.2 A joint approach will be developed to identify the training and development requirements for the collaborative team to support the development of staff, including legislative requirements for training.
15.3 Common standards for training and the accreditation of skills will be developed.
15.4 Agreement will be reached in terms concerning the funding of training and travelling costs. Completed training will be recorded in the home force.
Learning and Development. (i) The parties to this Agreement confirm a commitment to skill development for employees of the Flight Operations Unit.
(ii) The learning and development of employees covered by this Agreement will be linked to the Performance Development and Feedback or such system as may apply within NPWS generally. Performance Development and Feedback Plans will be established through the system and be relevant to the employee's current role and their future career path.
(iii) Learning and development options include: on the job training; attendance at internal and external courses and conferences; self-paced learning (e.g. video training; project team work; mentor systems; temporary assignments to higher roles; job rotation and exchange programs).
(iv) NPWS’s commitment to learning and development includes a commitment to provide adequate support and resources including full-time trainers, external training providers (where necessary), time and money to ensure the effectiveness of the staff development program.
(v) A minimum of 2% of the salary budget for Flight Operations for each financial year will be allocated to the learning and development of employees covered by this Agreement.
(vi) The expenditure of the training and development allocation will continue to be reviewed by the FOU Consultative Committee.
Learning and Development. Learning and development opportunities are supported across the Commission at all levels. Employees will have access to appropriate learning and development opportunities as determined by the Commission, during work time, to develop the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties, to complete mandatory training necessary to their role and address their identified and agreed development needs. Employees will be provided with work time to develop their skills and knowledge in accordance with their Commission or APS career aspirations as identified in their performance agreement.
Learning and Development. A resource for the purpose of employee representatives learning and development is set out in Annex E.
Learning and Development. Learning and development is a critical function in ensuring maintenance and development of the required capabilities and in creating a learning and innovative culture. The LHN will encourage and support leadership development as a collective endeavour, in addition to individual leader development. The LHN will ensure that: • Staff are supported to develop and maintain their skillset in line with their assigned roles and responsibilities. • Staff are encouraged and supported to participate in statewide and multi-disciplinary learning to enhance understanding of the health system through management training and professional development opportunities. • All staff have an annual education and training plan to facilitate learning and development. • Bi-annual performance reviews are undertaken with all LHN staff. • Where relevant, support staff in applying for funding and associated professional development leave entitlements.
