Large Class Size. (a) The Xxxx may designate certain sections to have a large class size and the maximum enrollment in each such section to be either less than two times or three times the normal class size (N.C.S.). (b) Instructors who agree to teach sections of classes designated as large class size will be credited with adjusted loads in accordance with the following schedule. The Xxxx will use the maximum enrollment prior to the census date to determine large class size, provided that the maximum so determined shall not be larger than the enrollment designated for the section as provided in subsection (a). Large Class Size. 1. The College will provide maximum enrollment caps for all courses offered to be offered in the coming academic year on or before March 1. 2. Whenever a fourth week class enrollment, regardless of delivery method, is larger than the enrollment cap provided in Article 24.C.1, the schedule of payment below shall apply. 3. Schedule of Payment as a percent of enrollment caps 0 - 100% No—Regular Workload Credit. 100% to 124% No change from regular workload rate. 125% to 149% Plus 25% of regular part-time contract for that class. 150% to 174% Plus 50% of regular part-time contract for that class. a. Any fractional percentage shall be rounded to the nearest whole percent. b. All extra pay shall be based on enrollments at the end of the fourth week of classes each term. 4. Classes that are above 124% cap shall only occur with the mutual agreement of the faculty member and his/her supervisor. 5. Final determination as to the percent a class is above the cap will be made at the end of the fourth week of the term. 6. No class shall have more than 174% of the current enrollment cap for that class.
Large Class Size. (a) Courses scheduled to have a large class size must have the prior approval of the Xxxx and the department or their designees. The Xxxx will use the maximum enrollment during the first two weeks of instruction to determine large class size. (b) Instructors who agree to teach sections of classes scheduled to have larger than Normal Class Size (“N.C.S.” below), as set for in the Master Course File, will be credited with adjusted loads in accordance with the following schedule: Class Size Adjusted Load 1. N.C.S. 1.00 x Load 2. At least 1.5 x N.C.S. 1.25 x Load 3. At least 2.0 x N.C.S. 1.50 x Load 4. At least 3.0 x N.C.S. 1.65 x Load (c) Classes at least 4.0 x N.C.S. are not ordinarily offered. The load factor for these classes, at least 4.0 x N.C.S., will be determined by the Xxxx and the Division Load committee, subject to the approval of the College Load Review Committee, and must be reapproved by the Xxxx and the Division Load Committee, with each new Collective Bargaining Agreement. (d) Loads for multiple courses will be determined by the procedures set forth in Article 8, Section 8.

This increment will be placed on the salary schedules (Appendix C-1 and C-2).
Large Class Size. 8.6.1 For those classes that are scheduled with the expressed intent of having class sizes of sixty (60) students or more, the division xxxx will xxxxxx with the instructor(s) of record prior to the finalization of the semester schedule to verify that the course offering(s) will adhere to standard expectations for course rigor and writing. The division office will then forward to the Vice President of Academic Affairs a list of courses afforded large class size designation. Load and student assistance will be computed based upon class enrollment at the census date as follows: • 60 students enrolled = +25% of instructor’s overload salary for that specific course • 70 students enrolled = +50% of instructor’s overload salary for that specific course • 80 students enrolled = +75% of instructor’s overload salary for that specific course • 90 students enrolled = +100% of instructor’s overload salary for that specific course • 100 students enrolled = +125% of instructor’s overload salary for that specific course • 110+ students enrolled = +150% of instructor’s overload salary for that specific course.
Large Class Size. 4.8.1 A part-time faculty member may decline a large class assignment without being penalized. In accordance with 4.2.3, the part-time faculty member will not lose seniority and they will not lose future employment rights for declining a large class size assignment.

  • Class Size a) When CONTRACTOR is a nonpublic school, CONTRACTOR shall ensure that class size shall not exceed a ratio of one teacher per fourteen (14) pupils. Each classroom with 2 or more students shall be assigned at least one paraprofessional. Upon written approval by an authorized XXX representative, class size may be temporarily increased by a ratio of 1 teacher to sixteen (16) pupils when necessary to provide services to pupils with disabilities. For any billing period where the class size has exceeded sixteen (16) students for five consecutive school days, the CONTRACTOR shall have a 10% decrease in its approved daily rate for those LEA students that exceeded sixteen (16), for those days (over five). b) In the event a nonpublic school is unable to fill a vacant teaching position responsible for direct instruction to students, and the vacancy has direct impact on the California Department of Education Certification of that school, the nonpublic school shall develop a plan to assure appropriate coverage of student by first utilizing existing certificated staff. The nonpublic school and the LEA may agree to one 30 school day period per contract year where class size may be increased to assure coverage by an appropriately credentialed teacher. Such an agreement shall be in writing and signed by both parties. This provision does not apply to a nonpublic agency. c) CONTRACTOR providing special education instruction for individuals with exceptional needs between the ages of three and five years, inclusive, shall also comply with the appropriate instructional adult to child ratios pursuant to California Education Code sections 56440 et seq.

  • Reallocated Principal Collections On or before each Transfer Date, the Servicer shall instruct the Trustee in writing (which writing shall be substantially in the form of Exhibit B hereto) to withdraw from the Principal Account and apply Reallocated Principal Collections (applying all Reallocated Collateral Principal Collections in accordance with subsections 4.12(a) and (b) prior to applying any Reallocated Class B Principal Collections in accordance with subsection 4.12 (a) for any amounts still owing after the application of Reallocated Collateral Principal Collections) with respect to such Transfer Date, to make the following distributions on each Transfer Date in the following priority: (a) an amount equal to the excess, if any, of (i) the Class A Required Amount, if any, with respect to such Transfer Date over (ii) the amount of Excess Spread with respect to the related Monthly Period, shall be applied pursuant to subsections 4.09(a)(i), (ii) and (iii); and (b) an amount equal to the excess, if any, of (i) the Class B Required Amount, if any, with respect to such Transfer Date over (ii) the amount of Excess Spread allocated and available to the Class B Certificates pursuant to subsection 4.11(c) on such Transfer Date shall be applied first pursuant to subsections 4.09(b)(i) and (ii) and then pursuant to subsection 4.11(c). (c) On each Transfer Date, the Collateral Interest Amount shall be reduced by the amount of Reallocated Collateral Principal Collections and by the amount of Reallocated Class B Principal Collections for such Transfer Date. In the event that such reduction would cause the Collateral Interest Amount (after giving effect to any Collateral Charge-Offs for such Transfer Date) to be a negative number, the Collateral Interest Amount (after giving effect to any Collateral Charge-Offs for such Transfer Date) shall be reduced to zero and the Class B Investor Interest shall be reduced by the amount by which the Collateral Interest Amount would have been reduced below zero. In the event that the reallocation of Reallocated Principal Collections would cause the Class B Investor Interest (after giving effect to any Class B Investor Charge-Offs for such Transfer Date) to be a negative number on any Transfer Date, Reallocated Principal Collections shall be reallocated on such Transfer Date in an aggregate amount not to exceed the amount which would cause the Class B Investor Interest (after giving effect to any Class B Investor Charge-Offs for such Transfer Date) to be reduced to zero.
