Common use of Lay-off in Reverse Order of Seniority Clause in Contracts

Lay-off in Reverse Order of Seniority. In the event of job abolition or lay-off, the Employer will attempt to lay off employees in reverse order of seniority within their own classification; subject to the employees possessing the KSA’s required to operate the Society. When lay-offs occur, the Employer shall take into consideration operational requirements with regard to specific skills as well as the employee possessing the required KSA’s.
