Common use of Layoff of XXX Lead Clause in Contracts

Layoff of XXX Lead. Faculty during an annual appointment because of elimination or reduction of financing will be based on seniority, which will be determined as described in Section 27.5. Employees shall receive a minimum of thirty (30) contractual days’ written notice or pay in lieu thereof. This notice shall clearly indicate that the separation is not due to the job performance of the faculty member and shall also indicate the effective date. XXX Lead Faculty who have been laid off will be eligible for recall to an XXX Lead Faculty position. Recall rights will be managed according to the provisions of Section 27.7, as applicable.
