Leave For Court Appearance (Not. Job Related)/Jury Duty a) When a monthly employee is required to appear as a witness in court, other than as a litigant, or to respond to an official order from another governmental jurisdiction for reasons not brought about through the connivance or misconduct of the employee, a leave with pay may be granted. The leave request form shall be submitted with a copy of the subpoena attached. Witness fees received by any employee shall be remitted to the Executive Vice Chancellor, Business Services within ten (10) days of receipt of such fees. b) Leave of absence shall be granted to any employee called for jury duty. Second or third shift employees who serve on jury duty shall be temporarily transferred to day shift for pay purposes only, without loss of pay. When responding to initial summons to determine eligibility for jury service, an employee shall be excused from duty with pay. (See Personal Business Leave.)
