Common use of LEAVE FOR ILLNESS IN THE FAMILY Clause in Contracts

LEAVE FOR ILLNESS IN THE FAMILY. A leave of not more than two days per contract-year will be granted in the case of the hospitalization of members of the immediate family of the employee, same is not to be charged against sick leave, said immediate family to be limited to the following relatives to wit: parent, child, spouse, grandchild, brother, or sister, or any family member of the household of the employee. Eligible employees may receive one day of hospital leave when immediate family members are involved with bonafide one day surgery in a recognized hospital.
