Common use of Leave for Provincial ONA Office Clause in Contracts

Leave for Provincial ONA Office. A nurse who is elected to the Office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted, upon request, leave(s) of absence without loss of seniority and service up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. During such leave(s) of absence salary and benefits will be kept whole by the Employer and the Association agrees to reimburse the Employer for such salary and Employer contributions to benefits. The nurse agrees to notify the Home of her/his intention to return to work within two (2) weeks prior to the anticipated date of return.
