Leave for Stewards. Operational requirements permitting, the Employer shall grant leave with pay to an employee to enable him to carry out his functions as a Xxxxxxx on the Employer's premises. When the discharge of these functions requires an employee who is a Xxxxxxx to leave his normal place of work, the employee shall endeavour to so notify his supervisor.

Leave for Stewards. Operational requirements permitting, NAV CANADA shall grant leave with pay to an employee to enable him or her to carry out his or her functions as a Xxxxxxx on NAV CANADA's premises. When the discharge of these functions require an employee who is a Xxxxxxx to leave his or her normal place of work, the employee shall report his or her return to his or her supervisor whenever practicable.
Leave for Stewards. A Xxxxxxx shall obtain the permission of his or her immediate supervisor before leaving his or her work to investigate with fellow employees complaints of an urgent nature, to meet with local management for the purpose of dealing with such complaints or problems, and to attend meetings called by management. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. After the Xxxxxxx resumes his or her duties, he or she shall notify his or her supervisor as soon as practicable.
