Leave for Stewards. Operational requirements permitting, the Employer shall grant leave with pay to an employee to enable him to carry out his functions as a Xxxxxxx on the Employer's premises. When the discharge of these functions requires an employee who is a Xxxxxxx to leave his normal place of work, the employee shall endeavour to so notify his supervisor.
Leave for Stewards. Operational requirements permitting, NAV CANADA shall grant leave with pay to an employee to enable him or her to carry out his or her functions as a Xxxxxxx on NAV CANADA's premises. When the discharge of these functions require an employee who is a Xxxxxxx to leave his or her normal place of work, the employee shall report his or her return to his or her supervisor whenever practicable.
Leave for Stewards. A Xxxxxxx shall obtain the permission of his or her immediate supervisor before leaving his or her work to investigate with fellow employees complaints of an urgent nature, to meet with local management for the purpose of dealing with such complaints or problems, and to attend meetings called by management. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. After the Xxxxxxx resumes his or her duties, he or she shall notify his or her supervisor as soon as practicable.

ACCESS TO PREMISES A xxxxxxx shall obtain the permission of manager before leaving work to investigate with fellow employees complaints of an urgent nature, to meet with local management for the purpose of dealing with grievances and to attend meetings called by management. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. Where practicable, the xxxxxxx shall report back to manager before resuming normal duties. A xxxxxxx will not receive pay for the time spent investigating complaints during regular scheduled time off.

Union Stewards as set out in appendix which is attached and forms a part of this Agreement, are to leave their jobs, after notifying the Chief Executive Officer through the designated Supervisor, to represent employees at a disciplinary interview, in a dispute at the Complaint Stage and/or arising out the Grievance Procedure in order to attend a scheduled meeting(s) with the Employer in accordance with Article
