Leave to Hold Union Office. (a) The Employer shall grant an unpaid leave of absence to an employee who is appointed or elected to a Union Office for a period of up to and including five (5) years. (b) A request for such approved leave must be given to the Employer by the Union, in writing, on Union letterhead and signed by the President of the Union.
