Union Officers. Sufficient time off shall be granted to the four (4) Principal Officers of the Local 48 Union for the purpose of attending and conducting regular and special meetings of the Union. All hours associated with said work shall not be subject to the 2000-hour time bank identified in Section 1 of this Article. In addition, time off shall be granted to the four (4) principal officers of the Union and any other members of the Assistant Chiefs Negotiating Team, not to exceed two (2), during the term of deliberation of the Assistant Chiefs Negotiating Team. Time off for deliberations may not begin prior to nine (9) months before the contract expiration date. The aforementioned members of the negotiating team shall be granted up to five hundred (500) hours, in the aggregate, in order to prepare for negotiations. All aforementioned time off shall be granted with full pay and shall not be subject to the 2000-hour time bank identified in Section 1 of this article. All notifications for time off for Union Business shall be made to the Fire Chief prior to actual time being taken. These notifications shall be by email and must be followed by a Form 25-S not later than the member's next tour.
Union Officers. Employees hereafter elected or appointed to full time Union office shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of sen iority but without accumulating seniority during the period of the leave of absence.
Union Officers. Sufficient time off shall be granted to any three (3) elected officers of the Union (cumulative for both the Firefighters’ and the regular full-time Captains’ groups) who are employees covered hereunder for the purpose of attending and conducting regular or special meetings of the Union, provided, however, a 48-hour notice is given to the Fire Chief and such release from duty is subject to the scheduling requirements in the interest of efficient operation of the Department.
Union Officers. A written list of UNION Officers shall be furnished to the EMPLOYER immediately after their designation and the UNION shall notify the EMPLOYER immediately of any change.
Union Officers. The Union agrees to furnish to the Office of the State Employer in writing the names, Departments (and Agencies) of all employees holding an elective or appointive office within the Union. The purpose of such listing shall be only to identify those persons whom the Employer may reasonably expect to be requesting paid or unpaid leave to participate in legitimate Union business. Such notice shall be provided within thirty (30) calendar days following the effective date of this Agreement. Similar written notice shall be provided within seven (7) calendar days following changes in such designations.
Union Officers. The Union agrees to furnish the Office of State Employer in writing the names, Departments/Agencies, and Union offices held by the elected or appointed members of Local 6000 within thirty (30) days of the effective date of this Agreement. Similar written notification shall be provided within ten (10) days of any changes in the officers.
Union Officers. 7.1. The Union shall appoint or elect Union Officers and shall notify the Employer in writing of the appointment or election. The Union will ensure that there is a Union Officer or Union Representative available during the operating hours of the Employer’s business. The Employer shall only recognize such Union Officers when notified in writing by the Union, and shall not discriminate against them for lawful Union activity. The Employer will supply and install bulletin boards in both terminals.
7.2. The Union shall supply to Management on or about each January 1, a list of the employees acting as Union Officers. Such list will indicate the name of the employee and the location. The Union will notify the Employer of any changes to the list of Union Officers as they occur.
7.3. Union Officers will suffer no loss of regular pay when processing grievances under Steps 1 and 2 of the Grievance Procedure. It is understood that the Union Officers have their regular work to perform and that when it is necessary to service a grievance during working hours they will not leave their work without receiving permission from their immediate Supervisor or Employer designate. Such permission will not be unreasonably denied. When resuming their work, they will report back to their immediate supervisor or Employer designate.
7.4. The Employer will notify the Union prior to the dismissal of any Union Officer.
7.5. Members of the negotiating committee who are employees of the Employer shall suffer no loss in pay for time spent during normal working hours attending negotiations, conciliation and mediation meetings for up to a maximum of ten (10) days pay per person which will include one
(1) day after bargaining has completed for the purposes of reviewing and editing the collective agreement. Once a No-Board report has been issued, the employer will no longer maintain pay for the negotiating committee.
7.6. The Company agrees to supply on request, to the national representative of Unifor or their designate, the names of all members of the union working for the company.
7.7. The Company agrees to advise the Officer concerned when an employee is hired, terminated, transferred, reclassified, demoted, dismissed or promoted to a management position. Such advice shall be given to the Officer within a reasonable time of the employee being hired.

Union Officers. (1) The bus drivers/bus monitors shall be represented by a President, Vice President, and a Secretary/Treasurer who shall be chosen or selected in accordance with the bylaws of the West Washtenaw Bus Drivers and Monitors Association. The Union shall notify the Board in writing as to the names of the persons who are elected as Officers.
(2) All Officers shall participate in negotiations. Every effort will be made to schedule meetings at convenient times. Officers will be paid for their time only if management called the meeting.
(3) During their terms of office, the Officers shall be deemed to head the seniority list for the purpose of lay-off and recall only, provided there are qualified to do the required work. Upon termination of their term, they shall be returned to their regular seniority status.
(4) Any newly hired employee shall be introduced to the Officers, in order that such newly hired employee may be added to the Officers’ record, or the Officers shall be supplied with the following information within the employee's first (1st) week of employment: name, address, date of hire and assignment.
Union Officers. The names of Employees selected, as officers of the Union shall be certified in writing to the Town by the Union within a reasonable period of time following an election or appointment of such officers.
