Common use of Leaves for ONA President Clause in Contracts

Leaves for ONA President. An employee who is elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses’ Association, shall be granted, upon request, leave(s) of absence without loss of seniority and benefits up to two (2) years. During such leave(s) of absence salary and benefits will be kept whole by the Employer and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for such salary and Employer contributions to benefits. The employee agrees to notify the Employer of their intention to return to work within two (2) weeks following termination of office.
