Common use of Levels of the Procedure Clause in Contracts

Levels of the Procedure. Any employee, group of employees or the Association may file a grievance which shall be processed in the following manner: Within twenty (20) days of the alleged violation the grievance shall be submitted to the appropriate District Supervisor, who shall render his decision in writing within fifteen (15) days of his receipt of the grievance. Upon the request of the Association, a meeting with the grievant(s), Association Representative, Supervisor, and the Assistant Superintendent will be scheduled prior to a decision being rendered. If an unsatisfactory decision is received at level one, the grievance may be filed within fifteen (15) days with the Superintendent or his representative. Within fifteen (15) days from the receipt of the grievance, the Superintendent or his representative shall render in writing his/her disposition. Upon the request of the Association, a meeting with the grievant(s), Association Representative, Supervisor, and the Assistant Superintendent will be scheduled prior to a decision being rendered. If an unsatisfactory decision is received at level two, the grievance may be filed within fifteen (15) days with the Board of Education.
