Licence allowance. The licence allowances set out in Item 2, Table 1, Schedule 2 of the Agreement shall be paid to Tradespersons when required to hold the prescribed licence/s, with the exception of plumber, gasfitter and drainer licences which will be paid only when the relevant licence is held and acted upon. The allowance shall be paid for all purposes as a flat rate for all hours worked.

Licence allowance. 4.7.1 An employee who holds an Electrical Mechanics Certificate issued by the Electrical Workers’ and Contractors’ Board, or its equivalent, shall be paid an additional all-purpose amount of $23.60 per week. This payment recognises the additional responsibilities for testing and connecting the employee’s own work. This allowance is payable only to an Electrical Tradesperson. 4.7.2 An employee who is a registered plumber holding registration in accordance with the appropriate State Authority or a person holding a certificate recognised under the provisions of the Australian and New Zealand Reciprocity Association Agreement who within three months makes application for and receives registration with the appropriate State Authority shall be paid an additional all-purpose amount of $23.60 per week. This payment recognises the responsibilities imposed by holding and maintaining registration. This allowance will be escalated on 1 April each year by 5% for the duration of the Agreement. Rates are described in Appendix 1.

A registered plumber who is required in writing by his/her employer to act on his/her plumbers licence during the course of his/her employment will be paid as per clause 28.5.2 per hour for every hour of his/her employment whether or not he/she has in any hour acted on his/her licence. 27.5.2. Allowance for licences will be at the rate of $2.60 per week for each licence held by the employee and 52c per day when using said equipment for more than 1 hour. ii. This allowance will be revoked immediately upon suspension or cancellation of the relevant licence by its issuing authority.
