Limited Leave Without Pay. A department head may authorize leave without pay for a period not to exceed a total of ten (10) workdays in any fiscal year. Such requests shall be answered within twenty-four (24) hours of the time the request is submitted. Employees returning from authorized leaves of absence without pay of ten (10) workdays or less, shall return to their former job, if physically qualified.
